Harvard Law School Library Adopts Thomson Reuters Online Legal Service Westlaw Japan

Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced that the Harvard Law School Library has adopted its comprehensive online legal service Westlaw Japan.

Harvard Law School, the oldest continually-operating law school in the United States and home to the largest academic law library in the world, will use the online database service of Japanese law and cases for its East Asian legal studies.

Westlaw Japan provides Harvard Law School with a comprehensive and timely online resource built specifically for the Japanese legal market. Written entirely in Japanese, students and faculty will benefit from having access to more than 230,000 cases, in excess of 20,000 statutory laws and over 1,000 draft bills. With access to an impressive number of current and historical cases and statutes, as well as indexes to journal articles and newspapers, the database is an invaluable resource for anyone studying or practicing Japanese law.
